This product is available in different Z-Wave frequencies so please make sure you choose the correct region before checking out. You need to select the same frequency / region as your hub when buying Z-Wave devices for them to include to your system. If you're not sure which frequency your hub operates on, please contact your solution provider first. Here is what each option stands for:
This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. We recommend using the dedicated mounting bracket if you'd like to install the sensor outdoors. Always keep the device out of direct sunlight and rain or snow.
NOTE: If you don't see your Z-Wave controller on the list above, please contact us before you purchase this product.
Distributed several of these throughout my home. Easy pairing with Home Assistant.
These are only good for 32 to 104 degree operating range.
It is my fault that I overlooked that the new 800LR series only has an operating temperature up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (and the Silicon Labs that makes the 800 series chips claims they only work up to 95 degrees F). Would not have bought them if I looked a little deeper into this since I need them for the attic to control a fan where it gets hotter than 104 (95) degrees. Really silly that the cost engineers on this product cheaped out and went with a 36-104 degree F operating range. There are cheaper alternatives that have a much wider operating range on the market if you go with Zigbe communication protocol... not sure about Z-Wave.
Thank you for your feedback, Jim! That is correct that this is a Z-Wave chip limitation; we do note the operating temperature on the product page as well as in the device specifications. Please let us know if you have any questions going forward!
Maybe this is a minus but I put one of these on my dryer and it was tripping the overvoltage protection on the device. However, Zooz quickly responded to my support request with an updated firmware to address the issue. Despite this, it is also a great product that works as intended and good quality construction.
The sensor works great for temperature. It's accurate and easy to setup. The humidity measurements are off. Out of the box, mine was showing 6% high based on using the 2 point calibration from Boveda One Step Hygrometer Mess Free Calibration Kit 75% and 32%.
The support from Zooz is quick, though not helpful.
Works great, easy install.
