another location where there were no light switches. Very responsive with no perceptible lag in direct association mode. Cannot comment on battery life. Very useful. Would recommend.
This allowed us to control a light that normally has no light switch, and it looks exactly like a normal light switch to everyone knows how to use it.
I use the Zen34 LR as one side of a light 3-way switch in conjunction with a Zen71 through HA. It works flawlessly! Just now that if you program the LED as always on, it will eat up the batteries really fast, in a matter of hours. Learned this the hard way. Other than this, it works great!
I always used to steer clear of these because they are battery powered. But upon further investigation, the CR2032 batteries last about a year with normal use! I figured that was a good compromise to having them hard wired. After I knew that, I stared thinking of other places in my house I could mount these where I currently don't have wiring, just to make it convenient to turn on, off, and dim lights! Sort of a virtual 3-way switch with no wires! The one down side of these, and I mean the only one, is that I can't figure out a way to have the LED stay on when the switch is off just like the wired switches do. I use Home Assistant though, so it could be something with that.
I Love these. I have quite a few of them. They work great and are east to install.
