This sensor is perfect for spot monitoring in spaces where your smart thermostat doesn't reach. Install the device in your bedroom to prepare just the right temperature for the night. Mount it in the basement or on your sun porch to trigger climate control device and keep the air constant where humidity and temperature is most likely to change quickly.
Just stick it to the flat surface of your choice with the supplied adhesive tape for 1-minute installation. We recommend using the dedicated mounting bracket if you'd like to install the sensor outdoors. Always keep the device out of direct sunlight and rain or snow.
So far the temperature sensor is fine and accurate compared to a known accurate thermometer. The temperature had to be calibrated -1.6 degrees F initially. Had to find Zooz advanced manual to understand how to change this setting.
Integrated with ST with edge drivers . Simple setup and just works
Needed in far section of cellar where pipes sometimes freezes when windy, put it in one place temporarily to get a based reading, moved it closer to the pipe and found a huge hole behind a badly installed insulation due to a 15 degree recorded drop. Fix that. I would have never found it with out it. now I can monitor temp on Real cold/windy days and turn on heat if need to.
Wasn't looking for a temp/humidity sensor per se, but when I saw the form factor and price I decided to give one a shot and it's been a home run so far. The only thing that I'm not crazy about is that the manual says it only reports back to a Zwave Hub every 12 hours which is not frequent enough in my opinion if you are trying to keep pipes from freezing for example and want to monitor the temp in a basement where the hot water heating pipes run along the outside walls. I typically will cycle the thermostat on every 90 minutes if temp is below 40 F to prevent pipes from freezing.
Easy to set up in Home Assistant; love the features
