        INSTALLATION

Before beginning the installation process, make sure the load you are about to connect does not exceed 500W for incandescent lights or 150W for DIMMABLE LED. Do NOT use this dimmer to control fans, receptacles, or tube lights.
Check your wiring first and confirm that you have all of the following present in your gang box: load (most often black), line (most often black), neutral (most often white), and ground (most often green).

If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and performing the installation, please consult a licensed electrician.

Zooz ZEN22 dimmer works great as a single pole switch

Here are some helpful installation tips:

        • Make sure the gang box you are about to install the switch at features a neutral wire - you will not be able to connect the ZEN72 switch properly without a neutral wire. Neutral is usually in a bundle of white wires NOT connected to your original mechanical switch.
        • Unlike your regular electrical switches, Z-Wave switches require particular wires to be connected exactly as indicated - line and load wires cannot be swapped as it often happens to the most experienced electricians.
        • Z-Wave dimmers will work best with incandescent and high-quality DIMMABLE LED bulbs with at least 15 Watts on load.

How to include the 800 Series Dimmer switch to your smart home network?
          1. Bring your Z-Wave gateway hub or controller as close to the switch as possible
          2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion mode
          3. Tap the UPPER paddle of the switch 3 times very quickly to finalize the inclusion process
          4. A new dimmer (or multilevel switch) device will appear on your controller's device list

NOTE:  Use a dedicated diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 switches. This switch may wire differently in 3-way or 4-way installation than your other Zooz switch.

          Great reliable product

Dimmer switch installed and integrated easily. The zooz device drivers provide more capabilities than the stock smartthings drivers. Good product for a good price!

The dimmers feel a little more spongey than previous generations

I have been purchasing Zooz dimmers for a few years now, but this is the first one I've purchased in a while (and the first 800 series switch). The installation and functionality is as good as it's always been, but it feels like the paddle is more...spongey? I'm not sure how to describe it. It basically clicks twice every time I operate it, which is odd. It doesn't really bother me because this one is in a guest room and will rarely be physically operated.

          Responsive switch

Light comes on quick and there are plenty of configuration parameters. If it holds up then all is well.

          Reliable

I have 6 of these (plus > 30 other Zooz devices) in my home and they have not given me any problems since installing my first about a year ago. They’ve been as reliable as my Caseta dimmers at less than half the price. The Zen72 also offers a lot more customization than Caseta.

works well but zen77 have bigger dimming range

Works well but on the same recessed light zen77 has bigger dimming range. For other bulbs perfect.
