This product is available in different Z-Wave frequencies so please make sure you choose the correct region before checking out. You need to select the same frequency / region as your end devices when buying Z-Wave controllers to include products to your system without issues. If you're not sure which frequency your devices use, please contact the manufacturers first. Here is what each option stands for:
Start by connecting the 700 S2 Stick to a USB port on your PC, laptop, or Raspberry Pi. Use it with your choice of home automation software, including Home Assistant with JS Z-Wave integration, Indigo, and HomeSeer. Refer to the manual for extra set up details, as the installation process for Windows, Linux, and MAC OS systems is different for each.
Home automation software is required to control and configure your Z-Wave network. Z-Wave product compatibility will depend on the software you choose so we recommend installing an open and proven smart home system to go with your 700 S2 Stick for best results.
Zooz USB 700 Series Z-Wave Plus S2 Stick ZST10 User Manual (PDF)
Zooz 24-7-365 support services are fantastic. I had several setup questions, and they were answered quickly and professionally with follow up. The ZST10 is doing exactly what I bought it to do for my SmartThings connected devices.
Worked as expected. Plug and go.
Arrived on time. Nice packaging. Good instructions. Basically plug-and-play. Also installed a DC sensor in my smoke alarms. Everything was added to Home Assistant very easily. My only question was about the lack of a USB extension cable to get the dongle away from any USB 3.0 ports. Are Z-Wave devices not affected like Zigbee devices? My Home Assistant SkyConnect came with an extension to move it away from any USB 3.0 ports to avoid interference. Anyway, I added one myself just to be safe.
No issue integrating with Home assistant
Vastly improved the performance and range of my network!
