Zooz Light Switches & Dimmers Frequently Asked Questions
NOTE: If you don't see your Z-Wave controller on the list above, please contact us before you purchase this product.
Please follow the manual carefully and refer to the supplied diagrams when installing your Zooz switches. It's recommended that a licensed electrician performs the installation.
Check for neutral connections BEFORE you buy. A white wire from a 14-3 romex is usually NOT a neutral. Ask us if you're not sure what to look for, we'll be happy to help!
How to include the 800 Series S2 Toggle Dimmer to your smart home hub?
1. Make sure the dimmer is located within range of your Z-Wave network
2. Put your Z-Wave controller in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Toggle the dimmer up 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new dimmer switch will appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Follow an appropriate diagram from the manual to wire the dimmer in a 3-way or 4-way setting with a regular on/off electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches. If you can't match your wiring with any of the diagrams, let us know and we'll walk you through the wiring process.
They are pretty easy to install, but when I tried to install them with SmartThings, half of the time they aren’t recognized and I have to do a lot of extra fiddling. I bought about a dozen and I’m all doing it the exact same way and sometimes they quickly register and other times no way. I’m assuming it’s a dimmer switch issue and not smart things. Once there installed, they work pretty well once you get used to a toggle switch like these.
Great low cost units for controlling lights in my home. Easy to wire for two, three or more way lights. My current standard in my extensive SmartThings Smart Home.
Installed it controlling 3 LED Floodlamps at 100w each (within specs since it's LED and not actual electrical wattage) and works like a champ! Only thing I wished for is an LED indicator in the toggle itself indicating if load is on or off.
I'm so glad to be able to move to these from the GE switches I used elsewhere that were expensive and required add-on switches for all 3 & 4 way wiring - they were a real pain. This more affordable option is easier and works perfectly.
These switches are as always great. Work beautifully with my smart things hub and customer support for wiring is amazing.
