Awesome little add-on to add a wireless remote to your setup

I absolutely love these units and have purchased six so far. Many of our rooms have a switched outlet which is, per code, required if you do not have any permanent fixtures in your room. Our switch boxes generally have a fan light, fan motor, and switched outlet. We have added fans with lights which means we no longer need the switched outlet. After hardwiring the outlet so it’s no longer switched, you have some options to fill the open gang on the box. Instead of adding a blanking plate or leaving a switch in place that does nothing, I opted to try out these remotes. And they do not disappoint. In each room I have these remotes with the top two buttons controlling the light via direct association which controls on/off and dimming functions. The bottom two I have to set controlling routines through smartthings to turn on and off the fan. I set double and triple clicks to turn on and off a night stand light and lava lamp. Charging wise, these seem to last many months before needing to be charged via the included USB-C cable.

Feels extremely cheap, buttons stick, poor range.

Quick set up, responsive, & looks good

Overall, I recommend this for anyone looking for a responsive remote control for your Z-wave network. It set up quickly using Home Assistant. I scanned the QR code and it showed up almost immediately. I use it as a remote but it has all the parts to mount on the wall if you want it to look like a light switch. It uses a magnet embedded in the remote (it is what holds it to the wall mount); I use it to stick the remote the base of my lamp, so handy! The buttons are easy to push and after a month of use, it has never missed a signal. My only suggested change would be to improve the ‘feel’ of the larger buttons. As you press them, they feel a bit mushy and less precise than the smaller buttons. Not a deal breaker, and does not affect the functioning of the device. More related to the physical aesthetic of using it.

Works great, was a breeze to set up.

I use SmartThings, and found this controller to be easy to add and to set up.
The on-wall plate protrudes a bit more than a normal switch would, but the in-box mounting plate looks pretty seamless. Love it, and it was inexpensive. I like the idea that it is rechargeable, but haven't needed to yet. I suspect the battery lasts a very long time.
