So about a year ago I remodeled my kitchen and as a result I removed half a wall and added in a bar height counter and some nice pendant lights overhead to light it up. Because of where the electrical was in the kitchen, the switch for those lights are inside the kitchen sop if you are on the dining room side of the counter you either have to stretch way over it to just barely hit the switch or walk around the counter into the kitchen to hit the switch and then back around it again to sit in a stool. I could not run electrical to the dining room side of the wall because of the beam there is no cavity to easily run wiring or install an electrical wall box. Originally when I wanted to buy this I was told it was not supported on Wink. Now that I am on hubitat, this was one of my first purchases and actually ordered 2 of them. One in installed on the dining room side of the kitchen bar counter and it is programmed to turn on/off or brighten/dim the Zooz dimmer I have running the bar counter pendant lights. The 2nd one I used in the garage as I had another branded smart plug running 2 LED overhead lights I have in there. Currently the only outlet I have in my garage is on the ceiling and with my previous setup I was only able to turn them on/off using the cloud based app for that plug. I swapped to the Zooz smart plug and have the ZEN 34 programmed to turn it on and off so I do not have to pull my phone out every time I need those lights on. I am very happy with these and can see many possibilities for uses as renovations take place for other projects in the house.
Rigged up as an alert switch. Handy ergonomics. When toggled it will turn a light on and send a notification to a mobile phone. Was easily added to Home Assistant network. Dual battery and six clicks to provision (instead of usual three) are unconventional, but device works as advertised.
I had a couple of the previous (non-LR) version of this remote and picked up the LR version because I needed another. I couldn't be happier - it's super responsive, paired right away with my controller (the Zooz 800LR USB stick + zwave.js), and works just like it's supposed to.
Got a couple of these for convenience of scene control for my bedroom. So far they have been working great. Battery life is phenomenal, been going for almost 3 months, without having to recharge.
I love that I can put this switch anywhere easily, which mitigates some of the silly electrical decisions that were made by prior owners of my house. That said, the slight half-second delay is enough to confuse guests to where they will repeatedly press it, causing no action at all. I also wish the magnet was a little stronger so the switch couldn't fall off accidentally (I like that it comes off, just wish it was a stronger hold).
