Please follow the manual guidelines and diagrams when installing your Zooz S2 switches. It's recommended that a licensed electrician performs the installation.
Check for neutral wires BEFORE purchasing. One white wire from a 14-3 romex is NOT a neutral. Ask us if you're not sure about the wiring, we'll help quickly!
How to include the 800 Series On / Off switch to your smart home hub?
1. Make sure the switch is installed within range of your Z-Wave network
2. Put your Z-Wave hub in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Tap the upper paddle of the switch 3 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process
4. A new on/off switch will appear on your controller's device list
NOTE: Follow an appropriate diagram from the manual to wire the switch in a 3-way or 4-way setting with a regular electrical switch if you are looking to control one light with 2 or 3 switches. If you can't match your wiring with any of the diagrams, let us know and we'll walk you through the wiring process.
Works as advertised have never been disappointed by any of their switches.
Support was fantastic. Device works perfectly.
The light switch worked as expected and was easy to set up with Home Assistant.
These are the best smart switches! I started out with Wi-Fi switches, and they are constantly having issues. I started installing these - zero issues.
The switch works great and exactly as described. The instructions are clear and made it easy to troubleshoot. I do wish that there was a momentary switch offered that matched the exact same form factor and still worked in a connected three-way configuration. Since my only complaint is vanity, I’m a happy man.
Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the matching accessory switch; the ZEN76 and ZEN77 units specifically have a unique, patented design that was intentionally created based on customer feedback; this design allows these units to be installed in multi-way locations without needing to replace the remaining switches and with a minimum amount of rewiring. Due to this design, the switches rely on current readings to change and maintain status, so they will not work with add-ons or momentary switches.
If you're looking for matching switches, dimming from all locations, or scene control from all locations, we recommend the ZEN71 On/Off Switch or ZEN72 Dimmer. These units can be used with the ZAC99 Momentary switch, or they can be used in a virtual 3-way. The virtual 3-way entails rewiring the main switch (with direct connection to power) as a single pole and then installing another smart switch (see the article below for recommended models) at the other location, connecting it to power line and neutral only. Even if neutral is not available at that box, you can use the traveler romex to transfer it there. The details would depend on the 3-way scenario you're dealing with.
