Zooz 800 Series Z-Wave Long Range GPIO Module ZAC93 LR User Manual (PDF)
NOTE: You will need to disable Bluetooth when using this module and install it on pins 1-10 (including the 5V pins). Please keep that in mind when planning your hardware installation.
Connect the 800 Series Z-Wave Long Range GPIO module to your Pi or Home Assistant Yellow by following the hardware instructions. Use it with your choice of home automation software, including Home Assistant with JS Z-Wave integration. Follow the instructions for your software provider as the set-up may be different depending on the interface and operating system. Please note that the ZAC93 module is for expert users only and requires at least basic knowledge of programming and electronics for the best experience.
Home automation software is required to control and configure your Z-Wave network. Z-Wave product compatibility will depend on the software you choose so we recommend installing an open and proven smart home system with your 800 Series Z-Wave Long Range GPIO module.
I soldered wires to a few remote controls and connected the wires to the multi relay. All the remotes functionality is then available to my smart home system.
I put this module in a TubesZB Z-Wave PoE Kit. It works beautifully and takes all of the firmware updates that apply to the USB stick.
Works great, plugged into an ESP32 over POE (TubesZB) which allows me to place it in a better location than a usb stick in the basement. I was able to backup and migrate my configuration of 50+ devices from my Zooz 700 usb stick and restore it to the GPIO module. Now, my Home assistant instance can exist anywhere.
Got this plugged into my Home Assistant Yellow and it was pretty straightforward to set up. Unfortunately the firmware seems to be lagging the behind the similar Zooz 800 USB Stick.
I bought one of these to use with the TubesZB PoE Z-wave adapter and it has worked great. I transition my network from the Zooz 800 series USB coordinator smoothly. This has integrated into Z-Wave JS UI very well. I would buy again.
