With Home Assistant, it's easy to add this device to home automation and it's been running flawlessly for a cooler l couple weeks. The cable leaves the second outlet free. Highly recommended.
Needed to control a string of LED lights and a fan in my new gazebo, and the Zooz ZEN-14 700 Series Z-Wave Plus Outdoor Double Plug seemed to fit the bill. Plugged it into the three outlet extension cord run up and under the gazebo roof (leaving two more outlets if needed) and plugged the lights and fan into the two controlled ports of the ZEN-14. My Vera controller didn't have a custom configuration for the ZEN-14, but the generic z-wave config quickly created two devices and off we go. The button/indicator is a nice convenience for manual operation, toggling on and off with one press for the first port and two for the second. Of course, with one of those extra outlets on the extension cord, an Amazon Echo will soon have Alexa doing the heavy lifting for me.
Easy installation (plug - plug - plug) and easy configuration made this a quick and trouble free job.
