Stop leaks in their tracks before they become something bigger. The Dome Leak Sensor is there to notify you when water is detected where it shouldn’t be, preventing damage to your home and keeping your loved ones safe.
Connect it to your Z-Wave gateway controller for instant alerts via your smart phone or computer. Monitor all the leaky nooks and crannies of your home — under sinks and plumbing fixtures, near water-using appliances, in your boiler room and beneath water pipes. Even use to the sensor to monitor water levels in your sump pump pit, preventing floods and water damage.
For advanced home automation solutions, connect the leak sensor with other Z-Wave safety devices. Trigger an alarm siren as soon as water is detected in the basement to ensure a fast-acting response. Pair it with a Z-Wave water valve actuator to instantly shut off flow. With a compact size, extended signal range, and a long battery life up to 3 years, count on this Z-Wave leak sensor to better secure your smart home.
Before mounting your sensor, first connect it to your Z-Wave network. Put your Z-Wave gateway controller into inclusion mode. Bring the sensor within direct range of your controller. You’ll be able to move the device to your desired location after inclusion is complete. Remove the sensor’s cover by twisting it counter-clockwise and pulling to open. Remove the plastic battery tab to activate the battery. Press the Connect Button 3 times quickly. Once included, the LED indicator will flash 5 times and the new device will appear on your controller’s device list.
As long as the chosen location is within range of your gateway controller, you can mount your leak sensor with or without the included cradle.
To mount without the cradle, simply place the sensor flat on the desired surface, ensuring its three metal feet are all touching the surface evenly. This is a good mounting option if you’d like to monitor leaks under cabinets, behind toilets, and near appliances like washing machines and dishwashers.
To mount with the cradle, attach the sensor body to the cradle by snapping it into place. Make sure all three metal feet are directly inserted into the cradle’s metal contacts. The cradle can then be affixed to a wall using the included screw and wall anchor. This is a good mounting option for hard-to-reach areas like the boiler room and behind pipes in the basement. Plug the included remote sensor probe into the 3.5mm minijack for 4 feet of extended probing range. If using the probe, make sure its three metal feet are all in contact with the flat surface you’d like to monitor.

Love the attached probe for detecting a leak in my dishwasher.
Super easy to get added to my Hubitat hub. Responds quick and has an audio alert for water as well.
The remote sensor - it plugs into the device with a 3 foot cord - is perfect to fit into our washing machine pan where the main device wouldn't fit. So, if the washer overflows/leaks and gets into the pan, we can detect it before the water gets onto the floor.
These work great with my Hubitat Elevation C-7. Started Discovery in add devices, pulled the battery tab to turn on sensor and Hubitat found it right away, no fuss, no muss. Ordered 3, will order more.
These work great in Homeseer HS4. Inclusion was quick and simple. Placed this near washing machine. Triggers quite quickly when touching probe with wet finger. Looks well made and hope battery lasts a while before needing replacement. I also have the DOME siren, and wished both devices used the same battery. The Siren uses CR123 batteries (as do most of the other battery Zwave devices I own) and this leak sensor uses CR2. Overall, a good value.
I needed a sensor to go underneath our washing machine. Many other sensors are too tall, but this one is perfect. It added to my Vera Plus without problems and responds quickly when tripped.
