NOTE: Z-Wave gateway controller required - sold separately.
Remotely controlled light dimming module FIBARO Dimmer 2 is designed to work with various types of light sources. It may be connected to two-wire or three-wire configuration so it can operate with or without neutral lead. FIBARO Dimmer 2 can switch or dim connected light source either through radio waves or through the wall switch connected directly to it.
New FIBARO Dimmer 2 is equipped with an algorithm of smart light source detection which makes configuration easier and ensures high compatibility of the device. It may be used as a switch with non-dimmable light sources (in 3-wire connection).
Read the instruction manual very carefully before attempting to install the FIBARO Dimmer. Please refer to the wiring diagrams below when installing the module. If you are unable to identify the wiring in your switchbox or are unsure how to read the diagram, please hire a licensed electrician and have them review the diagrams carefully as Z-Wave switches are very sensitive to improper wiring.
NOTE: If you don't see your Z-Wave controller on the list above, please contact us before you purchase this product.

I have been through every setting on the thing multiple times, and also reset it, still good, not great.
My setup is probably a little non-standard. This is in a ceiling fan canopy to dim the light fixture. I have a z-wave dimmer switch in the wall and it does not have a switched lead to the relay (due to only one switchable/traveler line between the wall box and ceiling fan base, which I use for the fan switch). The dimmer switch connects via z-wave, and I have the fixture pull cord set up on S2, with settings to work as 3-way (My fan actually has 2 light fixtures, a chandelier and a base light, so this allows the pull cord to still control them both as designed). Overall it's fine. With one exception. When turning it on or off at the wall switch there's about a 3-second delay. I have been through every setting multiple times, there are a lot of settings, but nothing reasonably relates to the delay between when the wall switch is activated and the lights turn on/off. The pull cord is prompt, dimming is prompt, this only happens when turning on/off with a single tap on the switch that connects via zwave. So, my final analysis; the overall setup works and has a ton of features, a few of which I use, there's just that gosh darn inexplicable delay that I don't like.
This place has outstanding service. I had a 3-way switch that is not worked in today's typical manner. I sent an email explaining my setup to The Smartest House, and they promptly responded with the correct product for my needs, along with a picture to show how to connect it for my specific house wiring. 30 minutes after I got the dimmer relay, I had wired in with my dumb 3-way switches and connected to my SmartThings Hub. Super awesome! I will definitely be buying my future smart devices from this place.
This product worked great to get smart lighting in my basement without a neutral wire. The tech support even created a wiring diagram for my setup.
