Nice motion sensor

I had to replace the older Zooz Outdoor sensor on my Homeseer home automation system. It was simple and after a few weeks, it works as advertised. I will be purchasing a second one soon.

Works well, but a bit fragile

This is perfect for the front entry way. It's a tad fragile in that once you have the mount screwed into the wall you can't see the tabs on the back that it slides into. If it's not aligned just right you can bend them although I didn't quite break them.
It was fairly easy to calibrate so that people walking on the sidewalk didn't trigger the front porch light. It would be nice if the manual covered all of the configuration options, like parameters 14 and 15. I've been poking at it trying to get the reported temp to match the actual temp.

Does the job, and does it well!

I was the owner of the previous Zooz outdoor motion sensor and that sensor was riddled with issues. This unit is a major upgrade from the prior model. Now, this unit can be attached to a tree or building and you don’t have to worry about shielding it from light rain. I’ve had mine 2 months (as of this review) and it’s poured rain all over it and it continues to work just fine. Great job Zooz!

Nice improvement

I like the housing and mount on the new sensor better than the previous version. It is more adjustable and easier to mount since there isn't a wrong orientation you have to watch out for. Seems more weather-proof too. No trouble getting it paired with my Hubitat C7. I have it about 11 feet outside my house and it meshed with a repeater with 3 walls in between.
