How to add the Wall Remote to your Z-Wave home hub?
1. Make sure the device is within range of your Z-Wave network
2. Put your Z-Wave hub in inclusion/pairing mode
3. Tap the top button of the Remote Switch 6 times quickly to finalize the inclusion process (or scan the QR code / enter the 4-digit DSK number printed on the back of the remote if using the new SmartStart method)
4. A new remote control / button controller device will appear on your hub's device list
The remote is very versatile and works well
I was able to get this to work with HA but the two little buttons are a bit chunky.
They do press ok, but they feel like they are hitting the plastic before good contact is made.
Also it would be nice it each button was a simple entity and not set up as a scene.
I like the fact that each button has five presses to use which give you a lot of options.
When the button is pressed it retains it's last value used so you have to remember to program around that.
Otherwise it is a good device to use for controlling almost any device in your system.
I decided to use the button as an indoor garage control for the door, lights, etc. the 4 buttons and were perfect for programming easy to use functions like toggling lights, etc.
Pairing worked first time, AMD installation was easy...
Works great, natively supported by Hubitat. Love the fact that it can be recharged through USB-C instead of needing a stock of coin batteries. Extremely happy with my purchase overall.
This remote was simple to setup and has much lower latency than other Z-wave devices I have used in the past (presumably thanks to the new 800 series chipset)
